We have been operating our business for three years.
My wife Jane and I were running different services and products, all within the same industry, but under different names.
Last year we decided to bring it all together under one umbrella and employed Geek Free to build us a website for "The Property Store".
The team at Geek Free worked collaboratively with our ideas and produced a site which was completely aligned with our vision.
Communication was easy and open; and the team worked hard to create what we needed.
The Property Store brand has definitely been enhanced with our Geek Free website; more customers are finding us on the internet and our existing customers are using the site to gain more information and interact with us. Now we can inform clients with news via posts on the site, through the free newsletter and with current listings.
Our main business is Residential Property Management, so we are in contact with a lot of people looking for homes to rent, and for investors and owners wanting someone to manage their property - so an easy to use site was imperative. I really don't know how we got by without it.
Now we can upload current rentals as they become available and applicants can download a tenancy application form, both of which have proved an effective way for us to fill our owners properties as quickly as possible.
Geek Free has also enabled us to understand the background workings of the site so we can evaluate what people are looking at; a great tool for understanding
what is and isn't effective.

We had been thinking of building a website for some time, so when Toby Yorke came into our shop one day and asked if we had a website, and when the answer was no, he offered to build us one. We thought it was Christmas.

The very idea of rebuilding our website was quite daunting, especially as this was to include a complete rebranding and reflect a change of direction for our company.
As with anything this important to your business, it is critical to establish a relationship with someone who really understands and cares. Thank goodness we were introduced to Geek Free. During the last two or more years I have been inundated with people who wanted to build a “Web Site” for Warkworth Natural Health Store, I have had people from all over NZ who have promised me the earth and that they could do this and offer that. There sincerity was matched by their honesty as most of them never made further contact after their initial so called “Sell-in” !!!!
Toby was different, he was low key, he told me what he could do and what he couldn’t, then he asked what I wanted and what I thought my Web Page should say and contain for the end user. He then went away and came back with more information and suggestions that related to my business.
I was impressed by his attitude, and professionalism and the effort he took too understand my business requirements. However before I gave him the business I did some checking around as I have friends in the I.T. industry who were local. I received many glowing comments but the one that convinced me was from someone I really respect who said “If Toby says he will do something –he will honour his word” that was good enough for me – the rest as they say is history.
In the time he took to develop the “Site” he was extremely easy to deal with, patient, as I am a Dinosaur!!! He took the time to find out more about our Products and Customers - which certainly helped make the site more effective and user friendly.
I have to say Toby listened to all my concerns and questions, and would always give a reason why he did not agree with any of my suggestions and state it maybe better to do it in such and such a way as it will have a better outcome for the customer. I have no doubt that because he took a personal interest in the “end result”, to ensure that I was 100% happy, that the finished article exceeded all my expectations.
I also found it very reassuring that Toby came around to my house and showed me progress reports on how everything was coming along. That added to my confidence that the completed site would be a success which undoubtedly it has has been.
I had grave misgivings about building a “Web Site”, but the experience I encountered with Toby was a pleasure, and I learnt a great deal from him in the process.
I have no problem recommending him or his company to anyone or company that is interested in having a “Web Site” developed .

While planning to set myself up for business as a freelance hair and makeup artist, I was looking at the idea of building my own website. This ended up being a lot harder than I expected and so a friend of mine recommended Toby from Geek Free Web Design.
